It’s both rewarding and a pain in the ass to be a freelance music photographer. There are gigs you aren’t sure you’re going to get paid for but you do it anyway and cross your fingers. My last three gigs were like that but fortunately this is a band I actually like so just getting in the show for free was rather nice. I also had a good friend there with me to be silly and act a fool with. Oh yeah, he wound up working for free too.

Another piece I did using some of Cris Kirkwood’s water color paintings and my photography. I’ve been staring at this thing for days trying to decide if it is complete. I couldn’t decide but there’s no rules out there saying I can’t come back and tweak it whenever I want so I’ll leave it at that…….for now.
This is where I was last night. These guys are good. Real good but…… would’ve been so much better if Neil was there.
